Custom software and MVP development for start-ups and growing businesses
Got a great idea for an app, or software that no longer fits the way you work? We turn ideas into MVPs and products, and outgrown processes into software: web and mobile apps, portals, integrations and legacy upgrades, built in London with our development partner.
What we do
- MVPs for foundersFrom idea to a product users can try, and pay for.
- Web and mobile appsiOS, Android and the web, sharing one back end.
- Portals and internal toolsClient portals, intranets, HR and operations.
- IntegrationsSystems that finally talk to each other.
- Legacy modernisationOld systems upgraded in phases, not big-bang rewrites.
- Process changeSometimes the fix is a better process, not more code.
How it works in practice
We build solutions, not just software. Before any code, we agree what the product or process must do, who uses it and how it will pay its way. Then we build in stages, each ending in a decision: a proof of concept (POC) for the riskiest part, a minimum viable product (MVP) in real users' hands, then version one.
For founders, that means a partner who acts as your technical lead: discovery, design, build, launch and the next release, with the code and the IP in your name. For established businesses, it means software shaped around your process, connected to the tools you already use, and old systems upgraded without stopping the business.
Recent builds include a fixed-price legal-services platform with the solicitor's diary in the checkout and pre-filled, digitally signed documents; a marketplace for private-company shares using Companies House data and Royal Mail address validation; a school-run app for parents approved by Apple; and a portal used by lawyers in 45+ countries.
How it runs
Every step ends with a decision that is yours.

Requirements, architecture and data model.
You sign them off before any code - Prove
A proof of concept or a clickable prototype.
Go or no-go, with a price in hand - Build the MVP
The smallest product real users can use, tested.
You accept it - Launch
With training for the people who will use it.
Launch date agreed with them - Grow
Fixes, updates and new features from the people who built it.

Questions people ask us
Not here? Ask us over a call or a coffee.
How much does it cost to build an MVP in the UK?
It depends on features, platforms and integrations. After a free first conversation we quote a fixed price for a defined MVP scope, so you know the number before any code is written.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
The builds we have delivered took three to eight months each, including testing, training and launch. A proof of concept usually comes first and takes weeks, not months.
Can a non-technical founder build an app without a CTO?
Yes. We act as your technical lead: we test the idea, design and build the product and launch it. The code and the IP are yours.
Should I rewrite or modernise my legacy software?
Usually modernise, in phases: assess what exists, replace the riskiest parts first and keep the business running throughout. We tell you honestly when a rewrite is the cheaper path.
Fixed price or day rate for custom software?
An MVP or version one is usually a fixed price for a signed-off scope. Changes and new features afterwards are charged at a day rate.
Will you host and support it?
Yes. We host, maintain and support most of the software we build, on Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or the provider that fits.
