P3: from whiteboard to 4,000 companies

P3 is a smart corporate expense management platform: total control over company spending, autonomy for teams and efficient financial management, all in one place, with corporate cards issued by P3. In its early days, Marcelo worked with Fernando Nery, P3's founder and CEO, to design and model the platform, its processes, applications and database, and ran the build of its first version.

P3 has since been through Y Combinator twice and raised a seed round led by Better Tomorrow Ventures.

Idea to launch

Idea to launch: we designed it, built it and ran it

From the first workshop to hosting and support. These are products we built ourselves.

Property · Document automation

Leases and licences, signed in hours

Two weeks cut to two hours

Five to seven parties used to trade documents by email for up to two weeks. One white-label platform now runs the paperwork, the sign-off and the payment. Trialled with two London landlords.

Legal · Client portals

One portal for an international law firm

2–3× faster turnaround, lawyers in 45+ countries

Clients including FTSE 100 and Nasdaq-listed companies asked for advice in email threads of 50+ people. One portal now routes each request to the right lawyer and on to invoicing.

Legal · Marketplaces

Fixed-price legal services, documents included

Pay, book the solicitor and get the documents in one flow

A start-up law firm sells legal services at a fixed price, paid upfront, with the solicitor's diary built into the checkout. Subscribers answer guided questions and receive pre-filled, digitally signed documents under the firm's own brand.

Finance · Marketplaces

A marketplace for private-company shares

UK private companies meet the investors who buy their shares

IBM DB2VBA

Consultancy: we analysed it, designed it and planned the build

Paid engagements of one to two months. Each ends with a process map, an architecture, a data model and a proof of concept or MVP design the client can take to any developer, or back to us.

Construction · Feasibility & MVP design

Building materials on demand, tested first

Viability, competitors and an MVP design in two months

A start-up planned same-day materials delivery for builders. We tested the idea, mapped the competition, designed the system and its MVP, and found a way to pull stock from retailers' own inventories.

Charity · Feasibility & MVP design

Volunteering that earns rewards

Apps, web app and points scheme, designed end to end

Questions people ask us

Not here? Ask us over a call or a coffee.

Why are most clients anonymous?

Most of our clients are law firms and start-ups that would rather not be named. We describe the problem, what we did and what changed, and name a client only when they agree, as P3 did.

What's the difference between consultancy and idea-to-launch work?

In consultancy we analyse, design and cost the solution; you own the plan and can build it with anyone. In idea-to-launch work we build it, launch it, host it and support it ourselves.

Can you take over a system someone else built?

Yes. We start with a review of what exists and tell you whether to fix it, extend it or replace it.

What is a proof of concept, and what is an MVP?

A proof of concept (POC) shows the riskiest part of an idea works. A minimum viable product (MVP) is the smallest version real users can use and pay for. We usually build one, then the other.

Tell us about your idea or what's slowing you down. We'll listen, ask the awkward questions, and tell you honestly whether we can help.

  • A call, or a coffee in London, at a time that suits you
  • A straight answer: a plan, a price, or "you don't need us"
